Robin Mahapatra completed his undergraduate education at Claremont McKenna College and graduated in the top of his class from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. While concurrently studying law, Robin also obtained a Masters of Business Taxation from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. Robin also received a LL.M. in taxation from the New York University School of Law, the top tax LL.M. program in the country. Robin is admitted to practice in California, New York and the District of Columbia and is a licensed real estate broker in California.

Robin has ample experience providing general corporate and real estate advice as well as expert tax advice at the international, federal, state and local level. Robin has advised real estate investors and developers as well as domestic and foreign hedge funds and private equity funds and investors in such funds. Robin also has advised numerous tax credit investors and developers regarding the New Markets Tax Credit, the Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit and the Investment Tax Credit.

Robin has practiced tax law at a Big 4 accounting firm, a regional California law firm and a large international law firm.

Having practiced as a business lawyer for over a decade, Robin is aware of the need for business and tax planning at all stages of business operations and transactions.
